Is sperm always in precum?

I was just reading an article and it said something about how withdrawl isn't safe because precum is enriched with sperm. I just thought there was sperm in there at times. Like if they haven't peed since their last ejaculation and ect.

There is truth, and then there is reality.

The reality is that a couple practicing "safer sex" will consider that there is always sperm in precum.

The truth is that precum does not always have sperm in it. If a person has gone to the bathroom after ejaculating, then there is no sperm present, afterward. Unless and until he cleanses the urethra by peeing, there can be residual sperm.

Have "reality sex" as doing so is "safer sex". Pulling out is a very poor method of contraception.

Consider that you are playing a version of Russian Roulette; only instead of having one bullet in the cylinder of a gun, you have a fully loaded cannon! Anytime your penis is pointed in the general vicinity of her vulva there is a chance of pregnancy. It is not necessary to have penetration to impregnate a woman. If the tip of the penis is leaking precum and you rub it against her vulva where it will mix with vaginal mucus, any sperm present can travel from one fluid to the other and beyond.

The human male is a sperm machine. Spermatogenisis begins at puberty and continues for most or all of remaining life. There can always be sperm present in the male genito-urinary system. It is commonly found in urinalysis. Especially during sexual arousal it should be assumed that sperm are present in the urethra swimming on their own. And sperm can be present minutes after urinating.

You will read those posts that show that sperm is not present in what you call pre-cum. Theoretically, that is correct. A woman does not get theoretically pregnant. Any time you both have your pants off, there should be a condom on the male and spermicide in the vagina.

Withdrawl is NOT a safe and sane and reliable method of birth control. Why? Because all too often the guy will give in to biological urges driving him to climax. After the deed it is an oops moment. So, because a guy cannot be relied upon to pull out and given that sperm is present, do the right thing--use a condom. She should protect herself--and, both of you need a back up method (spermicide), third.
