GF got her period, but...?

ok heres the deal, my gf and i had sex with condom/pulled out(nothing broke), on July 12th. she is normally supposed to get her period in the begining of the month and she did on july 31st. She had heavy bleeding the first day and normal on secound and third day. the today(fourth day) she woke up with nothing inside. and she is not cramping at all. Is that normal?? can it be implatation bleeding? doesnt this type of bleeding occur 6-12 days after sex? its been 19 days when the "period" started since we has sex

i think what you've heard about is called implantation bleeding. it's typically a light flow and brown-ish from what i've researched. i believe about 1/3 of pregnant women experience it. you can do a google search on it and learn more.

if you worry about your girlfriend getting pregnant so much, why not use some more reliable bc? i can't imagine getting myself so worked up every cycle.

Brandye is a jewel in the rough
Implant spotting is quite common and comes at the time a fertilized egg implants itself in the lining of the uterus . It does not seem like a period; it is spotting.

Some women reportedly do have periods throughout their pregnancies. Some women have delivered and said they were not aware of being pregnant. How common? I have only read about these situations and never seen a patient who has had more than one period while pregnant.
