Can Someone Answer This Please??
I had sex with my boyfriend on my period and we didn't use protection because I know it's a slim to none chance of getting pregnant on your period. However, I'm a little concerned because when we were having sex he busted in me. And I keep thinking to myself that doesn't matter because I'm on my period. But the thing is my boyfriend has a high sperm count so I don't know if that can mean anything. So anyway, should be concerned about being pregnant? I doubt that I am. My boyfriend smokes weed everyday lol
I'd appreciate your feedback thanks. |

....may i be the first to say what were you thinking? now that that is out of the way, Well the first thing to do is try and play it safe with condoms or get on the pill. another thing you should consider instead of asking us virtual people to tell you if your pregnant is to buy a pregnancy test.
russian roullete with baby juice aint something you really shouldnt do unless you want to risk bringing another life in the world for you or another person. Quote:

Having your period does make it UNLIKELY but still possible to get pregnant. Especially if you are a teenager or in your 20's and your periods are irregular. I would suggest getting the Morning After Pill and always use condoms or some other birth control unless you really want to be a mom.

Just curious - why on earth has you boyfriend had the oppotunity to have his sperm counted? That is usually a test done when a couple has reached the trying-to-get-pregnant stage - and mature enough to be seeking fertility advice is not a vibe I was getting off of your post.

I dont see where weed comes in to play, but even though the odds of getting pregnant on your period is slim to none, there is always that little percentile that says "yup your ego is preggo" You should not only use a condom for protection but because there are all kinds of problems with mixing blood into a penis. He could get infections just like you could get tss from leaving a tampon in too long.

Well thanks for the feedback. Well to answer the first question I have no idea why my boyfriend told me he got his sperm counted. I think he was just joking around to scare me about being pregnant. I am setting up an appointment to get birth control at a free clinic and from what i hear Marijuana can lower your sperm count therefore decreasing my risk of being knocked up. I thought since i was on my period the unprotected sex would be safer. Plus it relieves period cramps and such. Me and my boyfriend aslo refuse to use condoms. they are so uncomfortable. We like it natural. I know I'm stupid for saying that but thats how we feel.

How do you feel about being pregnant and having the future course of your life forever changed? If you go back and read all that you have written you should find that your statements are full of wishful thinking and half-truths all of which can get you exactly where you hope you won't end up. Women can and do get pregnant during their periods. Teens and women in their twenties are more apt to become pregnant than at any other age. If you like it "natural" yet do not like condoms then use natural condoms. If you for some reason you cannot be on the pill at least take the time to use a spermicide in addition. Whether Marijuana can lower sperm count therefore decreasing your risk... is not the same as saying it stops all sperm. Get real, semen contains thousands of sperm cells. It only takes one of those to join up with an egg. Let's say for the point of this discussion that his semen now only contains 100 active sperm, 25 will be absorbed, 25 will leak out and twenty five will find their way inside the reproductive track and several of those will find the egg. If the two of you are going to engage in adult activities then you should act responsibly. The other thing the two of you should do is a whole lot of reading on the matter. The two of you are completely out of touch with reality and acting very carelessly. Your logic, above, will most likely get you pregnant; it isn't a matter of if, rather, when, if you continue as you describe.

So what form of BC do you use when you are NOT on your period?
Yes some women say they enjoy period sex, that it helps w/ cramps and sometimes that is when they are the horniest.... There are many topics here about it, some yay/nay... it's all personal preference... but most do suggest to treat it like any other day of the month and use protection. And yea... joking about sperm count isn't very nice! lol Chances are you are NOT pregnant.... but even if the chances are 1 in a million... someone HAS to be that 1?!? you know? Good luck!

Honestly, we haven't really been using protection only the pull out method. But in all seriousness I've been meaning to set up an appointment at the free clinic to get birth control. I am young and I don't want to be a mom right now. I mean I know it could happen to me I just wish to think it wouldn't. But if I ever were to get pregnant. Yeah, it would suck knowing that I'm only 17 but I have a family that loves and supports me and my boyfriend's parents love and support me. I wouldn't be giving them their only grandchild. My boyfriend's sister had her baby when she was in high school. They're very understanding people. But I'd rather not risk it at all.

Yea even tho his parents have already had to deal w/ this... wouldn't you think they would hope their son wouldn't follow in his sister's footsteps and learn from her mistakes??
I would hope you too would want to be more responsible and not just another statistic. Call monday and make an appt to get set up on BC.... you can keep procrastinating but how many more "lucky" chances you think you have? Eventually things catch up w/ you.
