thanks sera300 for your valuable suggestion...
Sorry ...I didn't get correct answers for my queries Once sperm went inside vagina how long(hrs/days) it will be active so that chances of getting pregnancy is more likelyhood. To get pregnancy is it mandatory to release sperm only on the day when egg is available in vagina. while inserting penis how much it should go into vagina and perform ejaculation ..I mean I would like to know how many inches it should go ... when I was doing ejaculation I see most of the my sperm is outside of her vagina itself ..That's the reason I am asking for your suggestion ... Thnks for your time ... |

Short answer is that viable sperm can still be detected after four days.
Now, let's talk. When trying to become pregnant, we recommend every other day from the end of her period until the beginning of the next. That gives fresh sperm two days to wander around hunting the egg and gives the man adequate recovery to deliver a full complement. Then the woman should raise her butt off the mattress, pillow or whatever, and stay that way for up to half an hour. Twenty minutes is what I recommend. That reduces drainage and keeps the greatest number of sperm where they can do some good. There is always some wastage but there are 400 million sperm delivered so loss of half leaves plenty to do the job. Depth does not matter much so long as the ejaculation is inside. Little known is the fact that when a fertile woman has unprotected sex, only once in four times results in pregnancy. The egg may refuse; the sperm may not be viable; some upset may not allow the egg to impant. Regular trying for a year is the norm before the doctor gets concerned. Out of 100 women having sex regularly for a year, 85 will become pregnant. Another half dozen or a bit more will become pregnant in the next year. With all the talking we do here about not becoming pregnant, we lose sight of the difficulty some couples have in becoming pregnant.

Hi,
we normally have sex from 12th day to 18th day after her period to get pregnency but because of having sex everyday sometime I cannot ejaculate good amount of sperm. Brandye advised to have sex every other day. so is that okay if we have sex every other day during 12th day to 18th day after her period ?? Can she get pregnancy ??? some people says it is better to have sex every day during 12th - 18th day but i have a problem in producing good amount of ejaculation. Once sperm goes into Vagina ... How long sperm will be viable which helps to get pregnancy ?? Please help me ... |

Menstrual cycles vary from woman to woman and some women never have regular cycles from one month to the next. Ovulation is around the middle of the cycle. If you know she has a regular 28 day cycle count 14 days forward from the beginning of her last menstruation- for a 30 day cycle count 15 days, etc. Now taking into account that sperm can live 72 hours ( 3 days ) begin doing your work three days before the middle of her cycle. and continue for 5-6 days as you have been doing. Actually from what you say it appears that you are calculating for a regular 30 day cycle. The absolute best way to calculate ovulation and fertility is with a basal body temperature thermometer as her body temperature will rise slightly during ovulation. The temperature should be taken first thing in the morning before rising. There is no exact formula as to how much of the penis should go inside the vagina and if there were the measurement would be in mm. What you should be aware of is that male sperm swim faster but have a shorter lifespan and female sperm, while slower swimmers, have more stamina. If you are trying for a girl or don't care then you definitely want to begin having sex 3 days before ovulation and want to ejaculate farther from the cervix (less deep ) while for a boy it is advantageous to begin working on the exact day of ovulation ( as calculated by basal body temp.) and ejaculate as deep in , close to the cervix, as possible. Doggy and missionary are the prime conception positions although missionary is the one recommended by fertility specialists. Have sex with her hips slightly elevated, use a pillow, and after ejaculation she should continue to lie on her back with her hips elevated for at least one half hour. Not only is sperm count important for you as a hopeful father, but also the amount of semen. Avoid alcohol, cigarettes and all other recreational substances. Drink a minimum of two liters of water daily. Eat asparagus and articholes which stimulate semen production. Avoid ejaculation for 7-8 days before each monthly round of baby making sex. Brandye is correct in her statement that under the very best conditions there is a 25% chance of pregnancy- in any given month. I hope this works out for the two of you. my best, dlb source: several articles on conception written by fertility specialists that I have read. Last edited by dlb; 11-04-2008 at 06:12 AM..
