Welcome to the world of pregnancy! You have another body inside yours and it is competing with your organs for space - as well as nutrients.

In the process of growing the fetus and your uterus are putting pressure on points that have not been squeezed before. Additionall, your skin is being stretched.

The veins were always there; they were not noticeable. With the skin pulled taut and some restricted blood flow, they have become apparent. They will disappear a while after you deliver.

Well, sexybitch, at least your veins have only appeared since you've gotten pregnant! My veins are apparently very close to the surface, esp. in my thighs b/c they are easily seen. I dont know why. My mother's legs arent like that and I'm 21 and feel like I have vericose (sp?)/"spider" veins comprable to that of a 70 yr. old woman. OK, maybe not that bad, but they are a bit more visable than that of other females my age. Consider yourself lucky!

well i've had my daughter now n there still there!!! do u think its because of the extra weight puttin pressure on my bum? there really horrible. i hate wearin thongs. whenever me n my bf get intimate, i feel embarrassed and not as confident as i used to be. he says it doesn't bother him (the veins).but its getting me down...is there any treatments, oils, ANYTHING that wil make disguise them a bit?x

i doubt there is oils and such to help that but if he says they dont bother him then let it be at that. also it may take a little time for them to go back to the way they were
