im going to have surgery next week for a communicating hydrocele on both sides of my testies. My left nut is the size of a two lemons and feels like im trying to sit on a baseball and its going up into my stomach (the swelling that is)for about 3 weeks i was worried it was cancer thank god it wasn't the ultrasound didnt show anything if theres any guys out there who has been thru this please hit me up. i know that i'll be ok just want to know about sex afterwards

Hydroceles do not affect the testes or the Vas.. They are fluid filled sacs that coexist within the scrotum. Draining the fluid, removing the empty sac., and, repairing the opening to the abdominal cavity should not impact your sexual performance after the operation because they have no connection with your reproductive organs.
i have done other reading about this and some guy have premature ejaculation.
just want to talk to other guys who has had this done

PE might be a problem, although, I do not understand how since we're talking about a fluid filled pouch inside the scrotum and nothing more. The trigger for PE is several inches away at the other end of the penis.

the way i see it if you havnt had it done then you dont really know what to expect.
like soreness even the slightest cough ect.

Any relationship between hydrocele repair and premature ejaculation is psychosomatic. One does not "catch" PE. it happens to all men sometimes and some men all the time.
I had the surgery done and it didn't affect my sex life at all after I healed. They do put you under for it though. When I woke up and the anesthesia wore off I was in a lot of pain. You won't be able to walk up or down stairs for a while and you'll spend the majority of the time sitting or laying down. Thank you wannaplayMr.postman a answer i was looking for. i made the mistake and found the surgery on line i was in pain just watching it. how long did it take you before you were back to normal? im sposed to start school on the 16th of aug and now the surgery has been put off till the first week of aug due to money issues (so much for the hypocratic oath).anyway i just hope i can sit in class

After about 1 week I was up and moving around again, but it took about 2 weeks before I was close to normal. After the first week I could live my mostly normal life, but I still could bend over or squat down very easily, and I definitely couldn't lift anything heavy. 2 weeks should get you back to normal though, as long as you take it easy and rest. Don't hurt yourself trying to do stuff too soon.
lol at my age i have trouble bending over and squating now so that wont be anything new sholders and knees is going to be my next repairs. as far as lifting as long as i can carry books i'll be ok. im hoping that sitting a couple hours at a time will be ok.
