I would consider the dildo as a toy--not a fix for extending the time on the clock.
Please clarify what you think needs to happen in order to make intercourse last longer. Here is a quote from a reply posted in December to a person with a similar concern:

Ditto doc and cockrings have their dangers. To be tight enough to work, means they are also tight enough to do damage. They are not the toys many think them to be. Any major hospital emergency room removes a few most weekends. The solid steel are the worst but plastic, rubber and other "soft" materials can be difficult to remove under some circumstances.
