Hey,
I am not a virgin. I have masturbated but I wouldn't really say I have properly. The only type i have done is pretty much dry humping a pillow (which felt good, but dry humping my now-ex-bf didnt...) lol. I read through the site and I tried to do external masturbation, but It didn't feel good, it didnt bother me whether I was doing it or not and I got 0 pleasure at all. I wasn't trying to have an orgasm so It wasnt because I was trying to hard. So I tried to put in a finger but that didnt feel good either.
I dont know what I'm doing wrong but I figure, quite alot.
Please help, I feel like i'm mising out on so much lol

Clueless as masturbation
Hey,

[COLOR="blue">Well, maybe the next boyfriend will have a different outcome, maybe not. Dry humping is good because it places your pieces-parts in constant contact with his pubic mound and permits building your arousal. For more on this, go to the site's Home Page and and browse the Cowgirl (Woman Superior) positions. How you "wiggle and squirm" often dictates how you are stimulated.
If you had a less than desirable experience with your boyfriend and you were wearing clothing, then I'd consider this the main reason why. If you are skin against skin, you eliminate the impediment of clothing.

Here are two articles taken from the Index that you should read:

The Anatomy of the Female "O"

Some women do not involve their vagina when masturbating, others do, others some time and other times not. The rule is: do what feels good in the moment. You can use one or two fingers, a long neck bottle, carrot stick, English cucumber, handle of a kitchen utensil, whatever is not sharp. Of course, there are vibrators and other toys....

Orgasms are not a requirement for women that they are for men, so you can masturbate with one in mind for an ending or not. This is discussed in one of the articles noted.
There are also different types of orgasms:
* Clitoral
* G-spot
to name two
I suggest learning how to masturbate involving the clitoris and learning whether you can complete them with orgasms. If you can then take note of what movements, rhythms, and pressures work for future reference. Later when you are confident in your ability to let go and enjoy these, you can work on one or more of the other types for variety. Enjoy any and all, especially the variety because guys only have one type, although getting to the finish line can take different routes.
I hope this is of help. After reading the several articles on this, please feel free to ask more questions.
Masturbation is as much in your head as your genitals. Images that you find sexually stimulating need to be a part of your masturbation - not literally but in your imagination.
As a young girl, the old Hollywood musicals with lots of tuxedoed dancers carrying off the leading lady were my main fantasies. Romanticism rather than explicit images. Other women report reading romantic or sexual literature. Some prefer pictures. Whatever your daydreams are regarding sex are likely to be good backdrops for a session alone.
There are some good ideas various places on this site and clitical.com is devoted to female masturbation. Regrettably, any site or book will focus on the mechanics of masturbation. The imagery is at least as important.
Personal examples are that, even though I prefer women lovers, my masturbation imagery is almost all with men. Even more, I tend to imagine sex with men for whom I had a desire, or close call, rather than past partners. Read a romantic novel; watch a romantic video; see what happens and take advantage of whatever is stirring.
