Cant magage it.

I am 16, i have been with my girlfriend for around 6 years, we have done everything sexually apart from intercourse.

The other night we tried to, for a few hours and couldent manage it. Basically id get an erection, put the condom on and then proceed to get it in but just literally couldent manage to do so, then after about 30 seconds id go completley down.

Any Advice?

The vaginal opening in girls and women who have not had a baby tends to be quite small and not too plyable. This can be helped. I regulary describe an exercise she can do to help stretch both the opening and the hymen, assuming she has one. Please do an advanced search using my name and the key word: bathtub.

Too much poking and prodding will cause a man to loose his erection because of the back pressure against the nerves in the root structure of the penis (inside the abdominal cavity). Other factors like anxiety will also cause it to either go down or not go up at all. If stimulation was absent for awhile, that too might be a factor. Just don't worry about it because doing so makes you your own worst enemy.

If she also has an intact hymen then this will be an additional barrier to get past.

Cant you just tell me tecnique on here?

And i have no idea what a Hymen is, sorry.

1 quick google search and all this info for u (googled cause its easier than trying to explain it myself)

The hymen (or maidenhead) is a membranous tissue structure that partially or completely obstructs the vaginal opening. The hymen is named after the Greek God Hymenaeus, the God of marriage and weddings. Usually in the form of a ring around the vaginal opening, it may also be a perforated or septate membrane, or in rare cases it may completely block the vaginal opening. The hymen has no known anatomical function. The greatest significance of the hymen is a traditional belief that an intact hymen indicates a state of intact virginity, a belief which is now known to be frequently erroneous.

There is no magic "technique" You can find some tips about your first intercourse at: http://www.caitlainscorner.com/13/sex/sex_firstsex.html. There's more there than you probably need, but it may shed some light on why things happen the way they do.

As for you going soft while trying to put it in, that is not uncommon at all, and it basically just boils down to the first time jitters. You'll have to relax and just let things happen rather than trying to focus so much on getting it in. It just takes some practice and will come naturally after a bit.

Your sex education classes must've sucked.

THE HYMEN

Girls are generally born with a thin membrane that covers the vagina opening. This is called a hymen. Intact hymens vary widely in shape from woman to woman. For most women, the hymen stretches easily, but even after being stretched, little folds of hymen tissue remain.

Though it was long believed the absence of a hymen meant sexual intercourse had occurred (i.e., the woman was not a virgin), this is not necessarily true. The hymen is a delicate piece of skin that can stretch and break from sexual intercourse, the use of a tampon, or even vigorous exercise. The stretching and tearing of the hymen is what causes bleeding to sometimes occur after intercourse. "Popping her cherry" is a slang term describing the breaking of the hymen.

Here is some photographic depictions of the hymen in its stretched and unstretched states.
