Can't get wet

I need help/advice. I never get wet. My BF and I always have to use lube. And even when we do, I still end up drying out. My BF calls my vagina a sand pit because it's so dry and because he (and sometime I) end up getting covered in a "sandy" substance.

I have gone to several different doctors. One had me douche with asidophlis milk. Another doctor had me try vaginal suppositories (KY and a few others). All of them just bunched up and I actually had a "styrofoam" like substance come out. My docs are at a loss. The only time I can remember really getting wet was twice after my hysterectomy. Nothing was diffrerent. I wasn't more turned on or anything.

My BF has been really patient and we really love each other he completely turns me on. But I'm at a loss as what to do for this dry problem. He said if no one can fix it, we will live with it, but we really would like to find out if there is any reason. Obviously...docs have been no help.

Has anyone else had any problems like my "sand pit?"

Have you tried a silicone based lube (messy but it may work)? Have your docs tested for a low-grade yeast infection? Don't douche. Have you tried a mild soap when you wash? Have you had a ph test done? Could it be related to meds such as sudafed? Some of the vaginal suppositories come out clumpy! Do you drink a lot of water to prevent dehydration?

Just a few thoughts...

Also, you may want to have your water tested for things like minor silt, etc.

I have tried silicone based lubes. The problem is that we really don't want to have to carry lube around with us everywhere so that we have it when the mood strikes.

I have been tested for yeast infections. This has been pretty much my whole life. But I did have a mild one when the doc said she wanted me to use the asidophillis douche. She said it would kill the infection and add moisture back. That my natural flora was off. But unfortunately didn't work. Not taking any meds like sudafed except when I've been sick. And yes...I do drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.

I do appreciate your input on this. Like I said...I'm just at a loss.

As for the water...I've lived in two different states since becoming sexually active. Several states apart. But no, we haven't had the water tested at our current home.

And yes...my doc and I were both shocked at the clumps. Especially since we tried several different kinds.

And I have been trying to gegt a doc to run ph tests anhd hormone levels to see if that's the problem. But since I'm only 29, no one thinks that's the problem so they won't run the tests.

Find a female doc. And holistic treatment for yeast infections is not the most effective...Diflucan can be used, vaginal suppositories such as Monostat or Terconazole for three nights works best since it treats 4 types of yeast vs. the Diflucan which only treats one.

Also eliminating yeast producing foods from your diet AFTER treatment may help.

Carry a small amount of lube in your purse, not a HUGE tube!

If you are on BCP's they increase the risk of yeast, tell your doc what you want done since it's such an issue. If he/she has an issue find one who will listen. Also on the Internet there are hormone tests (Demon found the site) you can try them...don't need a RX for them. But I don't know how reliable they really are.

Try a Medical center since the ones where the experts are are more apt to do the right testing and do it correctly! Just went through this "testing" and the local docs did not do as well as the Medical centers!

I have found all the women's lube suppositories ARE lumpy and leave a nasty mess, generally used for those who are post-menopausal!

Has you tried Oral? My last g/f had a similar problem but normally, some tongue action would get things going.

I found the link to that site the one time you were asking about test hormones.

Personal lubricants are made for this purpose. If you do not want to have them available, that is your choice (and problem).

Everything I thought it could be you've already mentioned and went to the doctor for. Till you can get it totally figured out get some of those small personal lubes to keep in your bag, there are even some containers for single use, like a sample size and you just throw it away when you're done. I hope you get to the bottom of it, good luck!
