can you have sex whilst on your period?

Well, as the title suggests I want to know...

Can you have sex whilst on your period?

If he fingers me won't he get blood all over his fingers?  He obviously can't go down on me either?  And I read somewhere that you get less stimulated during your period - this true?  If you can have sex, is all you can do penetration?  I don't want to make it uncomfortable for either party so I would like some advice.

Your help is, as ever, much appreciated!
It may be messy but, in my book, it is the best time. The couple days before, I am not interested but as the flow gets far enough along that cramps are gone and the bloating is reduced I am really ready.

As an added bonus your period is the least likely time to conceive. Do not use it as a contraceptive method but every little bit helps on the safe side. There is no medical contraindication for sex during your period. Many women find it too messy or, because of the particular hormone mix at that time, are less interested. On the other side there is our having to be thinking about our nether parts and the increased blood flow keeps us at least a little aroused throughout our periods.

Do not rule out oral. If he is willing, it is great. My g/f and I each treat it as a special time. The men I have lived with did as well. Spread a beachtowel or old blanket and plan on a shower together after.
I agree. I've done it with several girls on their period, and every single one has been very worried and embaressed about it making a mess. Although I haven't tried licking any of the girls out at this time, and I don't think I'd want to!!, they ALL agree that they are at their horniest over the few days on their period, and thus this also motivates me to pleasure them (and also kinda turns me on in some perverse way, lol). Definitely use a towel underneath, and don't do it on light coloured bedspreads, carseats or carpets because drops of blood will get on them. Similarly make sure your light coloured t-shirt is taken off and safely away. Make sure you have lots of tissues handy too, mainly for yourself as you'll need to wipe yourself up!!! Plus sides of doing it at this time is that she's usually very wet and slippery and thus no lube is required!

Anal sex is also an alternative to consider while on your period... Depending on the person, sometimes sex during your period can relieve cramps and in other cases can lead to really good orgasms as many women are more sensitive and sexually aroused during their period...

If you are concerned about the mess, you can do it in the shower and if you are not in a commited relationship, you should consider the higher risk of transmitting an STD (STI) during this time...

I feel more sexual when I am having my period. The sex is better and yes have had oral preformed on me. Nothing wrong with messy pleasures.

I think part of the reason we are horniest is the thought that "we cannot have sex" for a number of days. I know for a fact that my libido is up during that time but actually have never had sex during that time with anyone.

My period doesn't stop my boyfriend and I from having sex. It used to because he had a bad experience with an ex-girlfriend when they had sex on her period. She would see the blood all over him and then run crying. I assured him that nothing like that was going to happen and that I was fine with it. Although it can be pretty messy depending on what kind of flow I'm having that day, I love it. There's no need to worry about any lubricant because all the fluid from me takes care of that. And as an added bonus it seems to relieve my PMS symptoms. It relieves cramping and also puts me in a much better mood. For me a combination of sex and chocolate leads to a much happier period.

My bf and i have never done it before on my period but he got me going SO SO much without even touchin my pussy MAN but he didnt wont to have sex cause i was on my period not sure really why lol i think it was cause he didnt think it will make me feel good???

Of course you can have sex on your period. Being a human being, you can have sex whenever you want.

Yes, you can have any kind of sex you want during menstruation. Some women actually prefer sex during their periods over any other time of the month. I, on the other hand am a touch me not during my time of the month. I just don't enjoy anything my partner does, everything hurts or is too sensitive. My breast ache and my nipples often feel similar to tooth ache pain. My pelvic organs swell and hurt so much that rolling over onto my stomach during sleep, will painfully wake me up. I usually have to take tylonal codeine3 for a couple of days and have had to wear a duragessic patch and go to bed for 24 hours at a time, luckily that's rare.
During my period, I prefer to handle my own needs and is the only time I seek out personal time to masterbate. I'm all for having a few orgasms to take some of the edge off, but I want nothing to do with partnered sex, unless it's mutual masterbaton.

A female i have been having sex with in between periods. We spoke about having sex during her periods, she was a bit unsure at first and wasnt sure how it would go, we did it once and she said there was more feeling during them to other times.
She did ask me would it change if we did it during them before we did had sex the first time, i said that you may get more feeling, the same or wont be able to do it being too tight. We just shower together afterwards and go from there
