I had a baby a couple months ago and am exclusively breastfeeding. I've noticed ,as with my first, that I have a lot of vaginal dryness and it's harder to make sex feel amazing like it did before. It doesn't necessarily feel bad but the pleasure is harder to get and orgasm seems sooo much harder to reach. The dryness makes too much friction and I get sore very fast but when a use a tiny pea sized drop of ky there is too much wetnes and NO friction. I just want a happy middle ground. I love sex and want to know if there is anything else I can try. Also, I am getting mirena and want to know how this could change sex as well.

breastfeeding and sex

First, the mirena: Should have no effect on your sex life or libido. You may have breakthrough bleeding or a changed period the first month or so but most women do adjust well quite quickly. Unlike a hormonal approach, the IUD is not putting much hormone in your system. The mirena does have a coating of artificial hormone to reduce the tendency for heavy periods but not enough to affect your sex life.
Try even a bit less lubricant! Put a very little on your finger and swish around your vaginal entrance.
As I know that using of Mirena can be cuases of some side effects. The most common side effect is a change in menstrual patterns. Most women who use Mirena experience irregular spotting during the first few months after they have the device inserted. Other side effects associated with Mirena are usually related to the insertion process, such as discomfort during the procedure.
