I disagree, RR. Spiritual is more closely allied with divinity/supernatural while primal is more focused upon strictly human and natural with nothing divine about it - very much 'of the earth'.
Then 'spiritual' also has a tinge of "New Age Trendy" about it - fairly or not, it is there. Very "Left Coast" & aged hippie trying to reclaim his irreclaimable youth. Primal connotes ancient, hidden, deep and eternal - since primal is there underneath these trappings of civilization we cover ourselves with to protect ourselves from the dark.
It is the classic "good girl" vs "bad girl" thing using words.
Hey, I saw all the chat about what oils to use. I discovered this awesome candle for body worship, it starts off as a candle but the wax melts into a lickable massage oil. Just the smell turns me on. The cherry one is my favourite. They're perfect for setting the mood and they're aren't as expensive as some of the massage candles I've seen around. The brand is called Earthly Body, I bought it from the uk love honey website. I'm sure you'll be able to find it elsewhere as well. My boyfriend isn't very keen on anything like this but I can imagine this would be really awesome for body worship.
I did some searching around the net and best oils for body worship seem to be the Silicon based lubes since they're long lasting and never dry out. They're also a moisturizer so it seems perfect for massages. The only problem is that they seem hard to wash out though...
Because 'being spiritual' is colored with ideas of the transcendant/heaven/religious experience and so on (ad nauseum)as defined by our culture(s) while 'primal' is the unfettered uncluttered human as we evolved to be and not as our culture(s) would have us.BTW that 'transcendantal' feeling is due to oxygen flooding the brain upon orgasm (& strong emotional events) so by being 'primal' you get a 2 for 1 experience.

I've been thinking about this for a while but why must we choose between being Spiritual and/or being Primal? Why can't we find a way to be both?

So in a sense the two are one in the same more or less...
Exactly my point, g-dubz :)
