Question about the pill

I've been on the pill for about 2 years now, not having missed any doses. I finished a pack and am on my period now. I start a new pack on Tuesday, but I'm home for break and forgot my extra packs at school. I will be going to the GYN on Thursday and can get more then, but I'm wondering, since I'm starting the pills a few days late what does that mean for the effectiveness of the pill?
Will it be like the very first month you start it where it may not be as effective?

I'm going back to school around the 17th and have already made plans to see my partner that week. I will be using a condom no matter what, but I would just like to know what will happen from delaying starting the pill back up. Thank you!

Yes, given that long a break without a pill it will be essentially staqrting over. It is quite possible that you could call the gyn and have a one month prescription called into a local pharmacy. Should be a non-issue; we do it all the time.
