A question about the Pill...

My girlfriends been taking the pill for a couple of months now & (as far as I know) has never missed one.

Her period ends tomorrow & she'll be back on the pill on friday. Therefore, the question is:
Is there any more chance of getting pregnant on the first day of a new cycle or is it just as safe as the other days?

Neither of us were sure about this so we've been using a condom for the first week of each new cycle before relying fully on the pill until her next cycle.

Once you start the pill and take it regularly.. one day isn't any more or less "safe" than another day. The pill keeps you from ovulating to begin with... so there is no egg to fertilize technically speaking. That is why its so important to never miss a pill and take them at close the same time every day. When the hormone levels drop due to a missed pill.. an egg could pop out at any time.
