If you have yet to develop a long history with a partner and know what s/he has been doing sexually in the past, plus have every confidence in this person's integrity, you are best advised to go together to get checked out. Then you will have a new Square One from which to begin. No wondering, no worrying unless one or the other of you is promiscuous.
Why go to the clinic together even if you know you are "clean"? It demonstrates a good faith involvement and investment in the future. It demonstrates to her that you are willing to show her proof as well.
