How long should we wait?

Hi peeps

My partner of 4 months, well, my fiancee (don't worry we'll have a very long engagement ) have gential warts for 2 years and he said it had never disappeared, we have been very careful with each other whilst having sex or handjob or oral job but still enjoy it, we enjoy safe sex, but a month ago he went to hospital for treatment, to freeze them, and he said they normally doesn't work and warts always come back within days, but so far they haven't came back, we are hoping they'll never come back but we are worried about how long should we wait til I can perform an oral job without condom on, and we want to be cautious so he thought up of me asking on this site, guys. Does anyone know how long we should wait til we know they really disappeared before we take it further?

Thank you

Pamela

Ok I'm probably wrong about this... but I thought that even if the warts were gone, they were still a carrier & could still infect their partner

You wait until the doctor says he is clean. Do not expect this any time soon.

I myself have HPV or the virus that causes warts EXCEPT the SINGLE wart that I have is on my cervix so I don't think I have a chance of passing it on to my boyfriend at all. We have unprotected oral sex and regular sex all the time

Sexydiva's post could be very misleading. There are so many strains of HPV. The HPV that causes cervical cancer would usually show up on a pap smear at the cervix and this does not cause genital warts. A "wart" on the cervix would be very concerning.

If either a man or a woman is a carrier for HPV, it will be passed on. There are many variants that have no symptoms in the male. He is still carrying it around.
