Red face birth control: condom's not enough!

i use condom every time i have sex with my girlfriend and i don't mind using it all the time. the thing that troubles her is that she's not on pills or any other medications. ONCE the condom felt off and she had to take a morning after pill.

what other forms of birth control can we use along with condom. i can't see her get upset and worried every time her period gets delayed.

we have sex like once in 2-3 weeks. no proper place being in college

It is recommended that condom users also use baginal spermicide. Jelly, foam, film, suppository. 100-150 mg need to be in the vagina to be effective. Condoms lubed with spermicide do not provide enough to be effective.

Ortho II or K-Y+ provide the most spermicide and are essentially "personal lubricants" with spermicide added. The others are equally effective. Using a condom with vaginal spermicide gives protection about equal to being on the pill.

Safety in numbers.

In addition to the condom and the spermicide, your girlfriend can also use a--
* diaphragm
* cup
* sponge
to name three that are easy to manage. So, if you want to really reduce the risk of an unwanted unplanned pregnancy, use three methods at the same time. Think of this as I'm protected, she is protected, we are protected. Teens and young adults are more apt to become pregnant than at any other time so it behooves a couple to play it safe.

I don't think so......

The feet may learn the steps;
yet only the spirit can dance!

Dancing is the fastest way to get
a girl alone and into your arms in public.

The Tango smolders and burns. It ignites the
heart, the soul, and yes, the libido.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
it's about learning how to Dance in the Rain!

Dance as if nobody is watching.

The two brand names given and Koromex is less known but is the same vaginal jelly. You want a "starter Kit" with an applicator. You need that only once.

Suppositories are easier to carry in a purse (Encare, Norforms) but need twenty minutes to melt inside the vagina and do not provide lubrication.

Doc is correct. However. A cup or diaphragm requires medical fitting and the Sponge is about the most expensive way to go.

Let us see: She could have an IUD inserted, go on the pill, use a sponge inside a diaphragm, with spermicide and a female condom and you could wear a condom and withdraw at the moment of ejaculation. Safe but not much fun.

If 100 women use a condom and vaginal spermicide for a year, three will become pregnant - about the same as being on the pill.

thank you so much for the quick replies... will stick to condom + spermicides

she wont like to visit a doctor to have something inserted nor would go on a pill since we make out rarely.

this is my 1st time giving advice, here goes.
well in my relationship, my girlfriend
is on birth control, but on the Nuva ring.
this birth control works really well, its not like the pill
were u have to remember to take it, it doesn't make
you gain weight. and during sex you can't even feel it, well
i can't feel it. thats my advice is, i would say somthing
about the spermicide, but haven't used it b4, only on the condoms that have it.
but i would worry about the after taste, when u go down on her.
hopes this helps

Him wearing a condom while she is on the Pill works well for most people.
