HPV and genital warts

if someone had HPV and consequently genital warts, what could one do to get rid of them safetly, as well as stop the growth of additional warts in other areas of the genitals?

seems as though since its viral one couldnt get rid of the warts permenatly, that no matter how many times they are clipped off they will regrow, is this true?

thanks.

I think you are tossing terms around. If properly treated to the extent you describe, they are lasered off. They generally do not re-grow again if treated properly. Year ago there was a prescription medication which was used and since the laser there is no need to treat with the same since it was so caustic.

if you have questions read Brandye's post on this...HPV. If you or some one you know has them no sex until fully treated & clearned by the MD. CONDOMS!

Talk this out with your doctor. You are, as sera states, mixing terms and we will never get it straight online.

what terms am I mixing up? HPV and genital warts? I'm of the understanding that there is a form of HPV that causes genital warts and this is the strain I am referring to.

If one doesnt have medical insurance and no personal MD at the time, do you know if they are able to go to Planned Parenthood for treatment of this?

I don't know why they continue to regrow in places I've clipped them off. I havent had sex in months (with my partner of a year and a half whom i recieved this strain of HPV from) yet the warts are growing in more and more places. does that extra growth have to do with physical contact?

There are a few here. If you do an advanced search you will find many since it takes the time restrictions off the posts.

If they are properly treated that should be the end of the genital warts...if you are seeing re-growth there is something wrong & should see the doc ASAP.

You can try going to your local STD clinic or look up your County's Department of Health. Why are you having an outbreak now? I believe they may have been present prior yet not noticed. Additionally you have to have Herpes Type 2 ruled out. You may see what you think is a wart & it could be a herpes lesion. NO SEX WITHOUT A CONDOM AGAIN.

Furthermore, no sex until you are fully treated & cleared to resume activity.

This is not something you can just let go...you will have issues with this & pass it on to other partners. I am not certain what Planned Parenthood will do for you since I am not certain if you are a male or a female. If a female you can try them. They can refer you accordingly. I highly suggest you get some health insurance fast.
