birth control question

ok if it is near the end of a woman's cycle with her period close by and shes taking birth control , will the birth control hormones be active during the days the cycle is ending as she begins to take the 7-day pills untill her new cycle?

If you are talking about the last few before the last seven days, such as the 19th & 20th pill yes they are required. The 7 reminder pills in some packs (the last 7) some based on the drug do contain hormones and are required. Not all of the "reminders" are placebos. In essence take them all & don't skip any! Take them on time & if in question read the stickey here "Take as Directed".
