It troubles me how immature some people are, especially when they are signifigantly older then me.
So anyways... about that pull-out method.... That is what this thread is about right? |

If 100 women have regular sex for a year, the number who become pregnant will be:
No protection - 85 Withdrawal - 40 Condoms alone - 10

Actually condoms alone may be a bit higher. When using a condom, spermicide in the vagina before the penis.

Condoms seem to be different depending on the source. I mean according to my into to health class last year it was 94 percent effective. In my human sexuality class (psych) its like 92 percent effective.
I just think its safer to lowball the numbers (saying its 90 percent rather than 94) because nobody is the same. I mean how many teens have sex and barely know how to put on a condom, or think its okay to keep going after they cum? It also would make teens more apt to using multiple forms of BC. I mean who wants a baby when they still are kids?

I don't know what your family income is or anything, but if money is too tight for condoms and birth control, have you visited your local planned parenthood? I'm not sure exactly what the regulations are but I know if you are on a low enough budget they can provide you with discounted pills. I only pay $6 a month for a name brand pill. Again I'm not sure how it works exactly and if its the same everywhere in the U.S...but its worth checking out if you haven't already.

Going to Planned Parenthood
Quote:
Yes, we are going to Planned parenthood on Monday Morning. It is about a hour and a half drive from here. We have been using condoms. Trojan Supra and I have heard that they are not as safe as latex. The new Skyn condoms work, but the lube seems to dry very fast with this condom, so iritation is a problem. We have to use lube about every few minutes with this condom, so I don't care for them. The main reason we used the pull out method for awhile is because I am not the most fertile person and my girlfriend has Endometriosis and it is harder for her to have children than someone without endo. We are going with Yaz because it does help with the Endo. That is if the Planned parenthood has them. I feel that the pull out method will be fine for a couple who have been together for a long time. But, that is just my opinion. It is a taking a chance, but with any method you are taking a chance because nothing is 100% unless you have surgery. thanks for all the help. bud1975 |

My mom and dad used no protection and it took them 11 years for my mom to finally get pregnant. Married 8/45, first born 3/57, second 3/61 and their third 7/62. Now my dad's answer to his mom when he was asked about starting a family included the statement "not for the lack of trying".
It only takes one sperm to find that one egg and she is pregnant. To use the fact that she hasn't gotten pregnant yet is wrong. Each encounter is each it's own so be careful. |
