This is not something to calculate statistically, much depends on the type of pill. If she is concerned she should contact her doc, also she should discuss the question; is emergency contraception needed? Also, keeping her pills in her purse is handy. Tell her to call the prescibers office today.

Okay, since she has taken them and was late missing one then took it at 11 pm...it's a possibility & it can happen BUT I'd say it's pretty unlikely. But not impossible. Remember someone has to be the percent of birth control failure rates...But, tell her to keep them with her from her on and be certain to finish the pack as directed. Also, just a FYI, this is a very low does pill, she needs to adhear to the instructions. I have not seen it in the US...looks more like one used in the UK.

I talk to her bout getting the morning after pill at the drug store but the people who work there all know her family and would definately say something. Also she told me that he pulled out both times. I know that it only takes one swimmer and such but does that lower the chances at all?

This is made by Schering and Organon generally available throughout the world. Seems to be very popular in Australia, NZ and the South Pacific Islands. The ingredients are very similar in strength to other low dose contraceptives in Europe and N. America. It is also known as Desogen.
All low dose contraceptives are sensitive to timing and six hours is noticeable in the blood. She is probably OK but should take this as a lesson. There is no way to calculate likelihood without baseline and present blood levels. Any time a vagina has had a penis in, there is a chance of pregnancy. Maturity includes developing a tolerance for this ambiguous possibility.

So should I tell her she shudnt have nothing to worry about. The way shes talking she seems very very stressed about it. I told her that she shudve used a condom and such but according to her it was a "thing of the moment" sorta deal. Do you guys think she will be ok?

I gave you my answer. At best guess, probability ok if any doubt go for the Plan "B". The pharmacy cannot tell family, at least in the US. She will sweat it out as many of us have, or she can do the above.

Is it worse "mentioning" to mom & dad--BTW, I am preggers! Have her friend buy it, or you do it. FYI; to all readers most on-line pharmacies do sell this and will ship overnight. Do a search!
