yea I mean its technically safe, and BC is very reliable... but to me I dont risk it. Theres always a "what if" obviously without protection you want to make sure your both clean and I wont give you that speel you know it. I pull out mostly because it helps us sleep at night. One of those if it all lands on her and not in her shes not pregnant kinda things. My gf is high stress so if her period is a day or 2 late she goes out and gets a bunch of pregnancy tests. Do you think yours will be the same way?

This topic has been scaring the living daylights out of me.. My GF got on the pill about 3 weeks ago now, and ive read up and down about how effective/ineffective it is.. i can read 1 place that says its about 99.9% effective.. and 3 minutes later read about all kinds of people who got pregnant on the pill.. We have come to the.. very sad conclusion that she is allergic to latex, or lube.. were working on finding out which.. via. experimentation.. But sadly, the ONLY way for us to have really great sex at this point is to fully trust the pill.. (no condom or lube of any sort). We did it once without.. was great.. but get SO worried about it that wont happen again till a full month of the pill is complete..

I really appologize about the randomness of this post and the wall of words i gave ya.. but this thread relates to my issues with the pill.. so theres my 2 cents

Ive been on the pill for about 4 yrs...and do not take anything else. I am in a long term relationship... so I mean I don't want to get prego... but lol

I am just responsible and make sure I take mine as directed and watch for other medication interactions.

Random... for those allergic to latex...they make polyurethane condoms...worth a try

Techincally, if your gf is on the pill and is using it correctly, you should have no problems whatso ever.Im on the pill and have been for 3-4yrs already. Yes I have had sex without a condom/protection of any kinda and I have not gotten prego. Probably not the smartest choices of my life but hey stuff happens.

But, the wait for my period was hell! I knew I was on the pill and should be safe but, there is always that "what if". I found myself thinking about when I took the pill, and if I had any meds that could have thrown it off. Basically, for however long it took for me to get my period, I would be beating byself up over it.

So the choice is up to you. If you have strong faith in the pill go for it. If you think you will second guess yourself afterwards, I suggest not even bothering. But what I find put my mind 'somewhat' at ease was when I had sex when I was supposidly not ovulating.

Have your gf figure out what days she shouldnt be ovulate, staying on the pill of course, and it may ease your mind in the aftermath.

If you are on the pill.. you don't ovulate at all... that's how it works..but the kicker is... if the lvl of hormones drop slightly from missing/being late w/ a pill...another medication cancels the BC pill out.... an egg can pop out at any time!
