Husband's in Prison - Im on the Pill

Hi,

My husband is in prison and I have been on Yasmin 28 for about 8 months now. We have conjugal visits and our first one was a few days ago. He performed oral sex on me atleast 6 times and I didnot climax not ONE of those times.

When my ex-boyfriend would perform oral sex on me I used to climax easily. The last time he and I had sex was in 2004 --- I've been with my husband since 2005 and we've just had sex this year...Long story. In between that time I have masturbated a lot and would climax that way.

I was very suprised when I was with my husband a few days ago and could not climax at all! I had to fake it so many times .

I was wondering after our conjugal visit if it was that I just was not sexually attracted to my husband or my constant masturbating but that just didn't settle with me. Then I started reading this board and thought it could be the pill. I don't think it could be that I am unattracted to my husband sexually cause I love him with all my heart and I know I am inlove with him. I just felt so bad that I couldn't climax at all and had to fake it and lie to him.

Has anyone ever experienced this while on Yasmin 28? And if so what did you switch to? Also, how long might this "no-climaxing" last after I come off the pill? We have our next conjugal in November.

PLEASE HELP US.

If you're having conjugal visits, you're probably stressed. Every three months or so you get to see him, and so you want to do your best. The stress makes it harder to climax.

Since I don't have sex with men, I wouldn't know about the pill. Talk to a doc.

The pill doesn't really affect your "ability" to have an orgasm.. as far as reducing sensitivity or anything like that.
It is more likely to affect your sex drive.. in that you don't really want to do anything to begin w/.

You mention your ex-b/f.. but was your husband able to make you orgasm from oral before he went to jail??
Sounds like you 2 are still kinda of new to sex w/ eachother since you say you married in 2005 but just started having sex this year?!?

I think Jenny has the most obvious answer... to enjoy sex and have orgasms you need to be comfortable and relaxed.
There is no way I could really be enjoying myself in a stressful/awkward situation of having not been intimate w/ my husband for a long time.. and now it's in a strange place where other couples have been having sex!!! ugh lol

If you have had no othr noticeable side-effects from the Yaz, this is not likely linked to the hormones. Both Jenny and Demon make all the good points.

Some women do have to change pills a time or two but it is usally lack of sex drive, spotting or other more obvious side-effects.

The thing is that I have read so many comments about women being on the pill Yasmin and they've been able to get aroused, lubricate but not orgasm. I also see a lot of irrational emotional behavior that they've experienced but I can't call that cause I used to cry before the pills at the drop of a dime.

I guess I was just expecting someone to come here and tell me that they've experienced somewhat of the same sexual symptom. Nevertheless, I've been taken off Yasmin and placed on Apri...so we'll see how it goes...

Thanks for all of your help...

I have not heard anything from women where it changed their ability to orgasm. Mainly, it's a loss of sex drive or ability to become aroused. I took Yaz, no big issues with it.

Okay ... since the OP has probably got the info she needs from previous answers ... I just feel compelled to say:

The original subject line would make a great title for a country song.
