Pill - changing time of day & inactive pills -2 questions...

1) if ur on the pill and u chose a time of day to take it and then once u start takking it you realize that time is very inconvenient...how do u go about changing the itme that u take it at?
2) the inactive pills- are they necessary? the little pamphlet says if u miss an active pill- yada yada, if you miss an inactive pill just throw it out and continue the next day. what if u miss like 3 or 4 days of the inactive pills? is it ok? what if u dont take them at all? their really just a reminder with nothing in them at all so u remember to continue taking ur pill everyday right?

I don't take my inactive pills... mainly they are there so that you stay in the "habit" of taking your pill at the same time everyday.

If you want to change the time you take the pill... just do so after your period when you are starting a new pack of pills. I would not do so mid pack.

I you take the inactive pills taking them late is okay, as Demon pointed out they are placebos intended to keep you in a routine. Many women skip them.

If you change your time (that you take the pill) no, you do not have to wait just be certain you take it each day.

i never take the inactive pills either...it really doesn't matter whether you take them late, or take them all at once, or don't take them at all.

The brand I use doesn't even have inactive pills. So, there is no problem whatever you do with them: swallow, throw away, play a table game...

As for the change of time - I also had this issue. I changed from the afternoon to early morning and did it just after the no-pills (or inactive pills) period.

OK, you got some answers and I disagree withmy friends Sera and Demon very strongly. TAKE EXACTLY AS PRESCRIBED.

They are accurate with the particular pill they are taking. There are systems where those pills you call inactive are not placebos but are different hormone mixes. Yes, for the most part they are to keep you in the habit. Every day at the same time ........

After you reach your next period, simply start the next cycle at the time of day you wish.

Listen to what Brandye is saying...we have "limited" types of pills used around here, doc's preferences, & these have the placebos. I forgot about the less usual ones. SORRY!
