Sex & No Contraceptive

Hi,

My girlfriend and I have had sex about 4 times during the last week - we did not use any form of contraceptive, apart from using the "Withdraw" technique (Pulling out before ejaculation) I have not ejaculated in her once.

She has been on 1 type of pill for the last year, but due to illness has not taken it for the last 2 weeks - she has started a new, different pill 3 days ago. We have had sex around 3 times whilst she was not taking any pill.

What are the chances of us having concieved? Should we get checked out?

I would certainly concern yourselves with the lack of contraceptives, unless you are trying to have a child.

Currently, we do not wish to have a baby - I am aware our lack of contraceptives was foolish...

But what are the chances of us having actually conceived? Should we get tested?

The chances? Hard to tell, it only takes one sperm and depends on her fertility, etc. About 1 week before her period is due get a home preg. test and do it or see a doc and have lab work done.

Just don't do this again until you wish to be called Mom & Dad.

What if we were to get a home pregnancy test today? Would nothing show up?

Does it definitely need to be done a week or so before her period?

The fact that she has begun on a different pill could cause the pregnancy test to give a false reading.

You did the dancing and now you are going to pay the musicians. It will be a long wait until her next period. Read the instructions carefully on whether or not a test you may choose is valid while taking any hormone.

Would you recommend going to the doctors to be checked? If so, how soon should we go to the doctors?

My girlfriend and I are rather worried - her next period is not due for 4 weeks or so.

Just concerned at what our options are from here?

Back up! She has her period now or just finished it a day ago???? When was the last day of her normal menstrual cycle? When did you have sex?

She finished her period last Thursday, so I guess another 3 weeks till next period then...

We've had sex about 4 times during the time she came off her period to now (She is covered as of today by her new pill)

Did she just begin the new pill today? Or did she take it on Sunday after her period? Or did she begin it on the first day of her period?
