smoking while on the pill

i know they say you shouldnt smoke while on the pill but what is it in cigarettes that is bad? is it the tobacco? what if u smoked weed while u wereo n the pill? would it have the same effect of lowering the pregnancy protectioon rate? what if someone only smoked weed like once a week?

The smoking of cigs while on the BCP does not decrease the effectiveness of it, it leaves you at higher risks for strokes, heart disease & blood clots. As far as weed? I have no idea.

Right.. I would imagine it's the actual "smoke" not the tobacco...otherwise it would say Tobacco increases the risks of stroke..etc.... but it says smoking. Like it doesn't say not to use chewing tobacco lol not that many women do that

And altho THC itself isn't really harmful...smoking weed is like 10x worse than a cig b/c it doesn't have a filter. Yes I smoked weed and still smoke cigs...learned this in school

There are about 900 chemicals in cigarette smoke. Remember they contain additives and not just tobacco. Many of these are carcinogenic.

Smoking, alone, increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. Elevated hormones from the pill just exaggerate this problem even more - especially after the mid-30s.

THC does not affect the effectiveness of the birth control pill. It does, over time, decrease sexual response and desire.

Smoking weed on its own is not worse than smoking cigs. Smoking weed with tobacco is worse than smoking. And its not called weed if its resin or hash. Weed refers purely to cannabis in its natural (or herbal) form.

We might aswell be puppets! We can't wear underarm deodorant because we get cancer. We can't eat MacDonalds because we get fat. We can't give oral sex because we get throat cancer. Whats the point! We all got to live smelly, stick thin and sex free lives! What's the point?
