i last heard that the male birth control pill was only available to testing groups in asian countries.
it has not been approved for distribution because it causes: weight gain, depression, skin problems, etc... the very same side effects it causes in women but for some reason it is not ok for men to endure said side effects :| |

There have been a variety of male "pills' tested over the years. None of them has tested as safe, meaning that they have terrible side-efects or leave the man permanently sterile. There are a couple in testing right now but nothing on the market as yet.

And I don't think the ladies would trust a man to keep taking the pill every day without forgetting.
![]() Besides, it's a sure way to increase unprotected sex, with drastic consequences.

Anyone hear about any new findings with this? I read a few articles about it having great results with their new studies. One of the articles was at askmen.com. Just wondering if there has been any new developments.

well what is your view about it? Like your opinion from what you have read or heard. I cant really tell what is just speculation and what is factual. From what I have read I am under the impression that it will be 100% effective, meaning sterility, and cost around the same as the female month amount, cause little side effects other then weight gain/loss and is safer reactions in men then women. Only confusion I sorta have is the effects it has on testosterone, do we need injections if we take the daily pill? If so what side effects to the way we feel and act will accompany this?

As terrible as this may sound ladies, I think the way it is now is safest. I mean ladies taking a pill, iud etc and a male using a condom.
I would think If a man was taking this pill, it would lead to much more unprotected sex, and a widespread epidemic of STI's since people tend to think more of pregnancies than STI's Of course I would be willing to take it and use a condom if it meant my girlfriend wouldnt have to deal with whacky hormones for a few months ![]()
