OK, that is an inadequate response for other young men thinking about it. Here goes: A 30 year old female "sex worker" should certainly know how to take care of herself. In the modern day, virtually all are on the pill and almost require condoms for oral or vaginal sex. Those few who do not fall into two categories. The first are those extremely highly paid women who are available for special events, trips, pretending to be "the wife," and hostessing great parties. They tend to have a very high end clientele and are paid much more than I make for being special.

The more common ones found who do not require condoms are down and outers. They may already be sterile from disease or simply will do anything for the next fix. Any "in between" are simply taking unnecessary risks. Any professional sex worker who does not require condoms will become infected with a variety of things. Any man who visits a professional without protection is just plain dumb.

See a doctor. If you are very lucky, nothing will be found. If you are simply lucky, it will be something that can be cured easily. If you lost the bet, anything can be there. I can absolutely assure you that any 30 yo pro will be a carrier for the four forms of HPV that cause cervical cancer later in life. I can guarantee that you are now a carrier. This does not affect the male and, at your age, your immune system may fight this off. You will never know but the chances are overwhelming that you will infect every women you have sex with for the rest of your life. She will never be able to identify from whom she was infected and she may get lucky. But at some point during her annual smear, she will get less than welcome news. If only she knew, she could ring you up and say "thanks."

I do not judge prostitutes. There are some among my patients and they are perfectly nice women. They choose their profession for many of the same reasons I chose mine. I do not judge the johns who visit them and recognize that there are some perfectly reasonable answers to why they do. I will say flat out that either the prostitutes or the johns not using protection are incredibly stupid.

When you go to the doctor he/she will do the full testing. Giving you the specifics will not help b/c they have their own STD panels/profiles. Be certain to give a clear history of your lady friend so they cover all scenarios.
