Birth Control options
I had to go on antibiotics for an infection I had, and my doctor told me to use another form of birth control in addition to the pill, until I start a new pack. He told me to do this because the antibitiocs may reduce the efficacity of the pill.
Now, my question is: what are some other options I can use other than condoms? For some reason, condoms seem to dry me up pretty rapidly which then causes some irritation. I know I could stop and lube up when this happens, but I'm searching for alternatives to this solution. Also, why do I get dry so quickly when using condoms whereas without them I'm very wet? |

well you can have other things apart from the pill, you can get a bar put in under your skin and its there for a couple of months but the only prob with that is if you have a reaction it can make you ill. of you can get a needle which lasts up to 6 weeks

Norplant is under the skin and lasts 5 years--it's contraindicated with BCP's. Depoprovera is injectable, in a muscle, and lasts for 3 months--again cannot be used with birth control pills and neither of these are an option for the OP. Nor are they OTC.
