I've posted i topic like this in other of the forums but that was before i realized that this was also so ...
I'm an 18 year old girl whose relatively new to sex... today i had sex with my boyfriend and i was wondering what was the posibility in getting pregnant in the last week of the cycle... i mean i have an extremely regular cycle and today was like my day 21 or 22 ... and well, we use condom and everything but i'm still a bit worried... anyone around here could give me some advice on this?

Never depend upon "timing." None of us is perfectly regular on ovulation and there are so many things that triigger an extra egg or retard or advance the one whose turn it is. Use contraception every time. Yes, women DO become pregnant during their periods. Not often but you do not want to be the one.

Thank you for your advice... i'll never have sex without a condom... i'm not ready to be a mom :/

Using a condom addresses his responsibility in the partnership and helps to keep him from being an unwed father and possibly having the course of his life changed forever. What about your responsibility to yourself? You should be using a very high reliability form of contraception in addition. At the very least, a spermacide as Brandye so often states. Never rely upon one method and the reliability of your partner. Here is a partial quote from a reply in another thread from a couple of days ago:
