Funlovingirl is on a distinguished road
Safe sex?

Me and my boyfriend are both each others first, and have been enjoying sex for quite some time now and about 1/2 a year ago i went on the pill.

Now we always use a condom, however my bf says he cant get propperly hard once the condom is on, and as most of you will know they're a pain to get on (although we discovered the best way is with my mouth, lol its more fun for him but doesnt taste so great!).

Anyway to get to the point we both thought that we could try it without the condom (i have in no way been presured heck i was the one that suggested it!). Now I am on the pill so there's no risk of pregnancy.

However i was wondering about the risk from STD's? And your opinions on the matter, is sex better without, or is it not worth the risk? lol is there even a risk if ur on the pill and your both each others first?

thanks in advance

BC methods and failure rates

There is ALWAYS a risk of pregnancy.

My boyfriend and I are clear of STDs (had testing) so we only use the pill. He was my first... I wasn't his.

If neither of you have had sexual contact (oral or otherwise) before eachother... then you should be good to go. If still wondering... just both go get tested and start w/ a clean slate.

If you are wanting extra BC protection along w/ the pill.... besides condoms you could use a vaginal spermicide.

This is only a decision you can make for yourself regarding a risk. Pregnancy rates range from 1-3% chance if the BCP is used properly. Also be aware if you take any other medications such as antibiotics and St. John's Wort will decrease the efficacy of the pill.

As far as ditching the condom; you run a risk for STD's (since you were both virgins) if one of you are having sex on the side w/someone else. This is a decision which needs to be thought about carefully. Many people say my bf/gf would not do that to me BUT it happens.

Is it worth the risk? You have to decide for yourself....

Every woman around has had the story of "can't really function without a condom" in one variation or another. YOU, and you alone, decide whether or not to use a condom. I note in your other recent post that you have just learned that STDs are orally transmitted as well as genitally. I suggest a crash course in self protection before you go any farther.

Read all the stickies around here and get to a sex xlinic or women's health clinic and get every pamphlet they have on the female body, birth control and STDs. Sex is a delightful game with very real punishment for breaking the rules!

Long ago, when I was a teen, condoms were a must. I brought the vaginal jelly and he brought the condoms. The first time he forgot he got a handjob and the second time, he went home early.
