Is it really bad?

My boyfriend and I don't have sex all that often, but when we do he ends up hurting me without meaning to. His penis is really thick and hurts a little when it goes in. Later when I go to clean up I notice a tiny bit of blood like as if I have a little cut down there or something. Later we have sex again while I still have that little open wound down there. At least I think its an open wound. Is it bad to have sex with my skin opened up like that? Will I get something from that even though him and I have never been with anyone else before?
