hypochondriac is on a distinguished road
Is it possible for an std to show up after 1 year?

Hello- I'm a hypochondriac, meaning I excessively worry about nothing. Heres my story.

I messed around with this guy over a year ago, during a break up with my monogamous partner of 4 years, non protected sex, and ever since I've been worried about having an std. 3 months after him, I had white coating in the back of my throat and I thought I had hiv. I got a mouth swab test for hiv 4-5 months after sex with him and it came back negative. Here it is, 1 year and 4 months later, I have vaginal itching (light) and some redness on the inside of the lips, with a pimple like bump. I was able to pop it. I also have a hard bump on the outside near the panty line and I think its an ingrown hair. Could this irritation be from too much baths or masturbation? Is it possible to have an std after a year of possible exposure? (I got back with my boyfriend a couple months after that and he never showed signs of infection.)

Brandye is a jewel in the rough
Very unlikely. The itching is probably some simple vaginitis we all experience. You seem yto have the rest under control.
