Irregular Period
Hey,
About a week ago a condom broke, I went to the doctor straight away and got the morning after pill. I've also decided to start taking birth control pills which are supposed to start on the first day of my next period. I got my period today (2 weeks early). I'm just wondering if this is actually my period and if it would be safe to start taking the pill now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would contact you doctor and ask if you are supposed to begin them now or wait until your next cycle.

By all means, contact your doctor/prescriber. I would have my patients wait one cycle after using the morning after pill. By then, your body should have reestablished its rhythm. The doctor you are seeing will be following this and should be consulted.
