BlackWater is on a distinguished road
Std?

My crotch has been insanely itching for a couple months now. Sometimes it's specifically around the vaginal opening, but it's basically just everywhere in the crotch. Also, it goes away when I'm on my period. Could this be a symptom of an STD or do you think it would be something else? And if I were to go to a doctor, would a general physician or a gynecologist be more appropriate?

Brandye is a jewel in the rough
Whatever it is, it is not normal. See a doctor and I doubt that it matters whether a GP or a gyn. Chances are very high that you have a thrush or vaginitis. We all do once in a while.

The chemistry of your vagina changes during your period so that would explain why you get a break then.
