That is, indeed, what Valtrex is for.

You might have got it; then again, there's a good chance you didn't. Get tested, and then you'll know (we'll hope for the better!).

And -- as if this isn't now obvious to you -- this is just one of the reasons (and not even close to the worst one) why everyone keeps telling you don't have unprotected sex.

hmm wow i am curious what the hell were you thinking not asking him about his sexual history or for not even being on the pill!!!!!!!! wow get tested and live with it i guess but everyone should learn from this and never have unprotected sex without the pill or something like that unless you want little children running around, also to know about your partners history.

Alexis...I do hope you have made an appointment to visit your doctor to be checked. Secondly, I hope you have dumped this guy for not telling you he had herpes. But one thought, I believe valtrex can also be used for treatment of shingles...a re-occurance of chickenpox which manifests it's self as a very painful rash predominant somewhere on the body, ie:torso, etc. This guy did not tell you he had genital herpes? Has he ever told you he had shingles? Get to your docotor asap...some of the new preg. test can pick up a pregnancy pretty close to after conception...so if you are close to the the beginning of your cycle the test should be able to pick up the Beta HCG by now if it's going to be positive.

Alexis:

Generally early symptoms will appear in 2-3 weeks post-exposure. They consist of flu like symptoms, malaise, fever, swollen glands, back pain, genital pain, vaginal discharge, and then lesions will appear which are very painful. They can be found in the exterior and interior of the vagina, and including the cervix (this is why you need to see the doctor). Later symptoms are similar, including leg pain, buttock pain, headache, etc. The lesions can take up to 4 weeks to heal...you can have contacted the disease and still be asymptomatic. This is a virus...go to the doctor!!!

Also, how did you make out rereg?

Also, in my post above I am not sure why the icon showed up...I wanted to ask how you made out with the pregnancy issue?

Alexis:

Itching can be an early sign of herpes but it is generally accompanied by fatigue/malaise...given you are preg. the symptoms could be confusing. You need to see the doctor regarding the pregnancy issue so get checked at the same time. If there is anything you need, we are here. Keep us up-to-date on how all is going. Are you okay right now? Do you have someone you can talk to?
