Continued BC... Pregnant ??

I am on ALesse and we withdraw before he ejaculates but last month on the day after my last day he didnt pull out fast enough. I then took 2 pills of a new pack , which was about 30 hrs from the last pill. Just wondering is there a huge possibility of getting pregnant ? Its now a few weeks later had spotting (darker) for 2 weeks while continuing the rest of the pack and then I got what I think was my normal period. Normal breakthrough bleeding?? I have now stopped bleeding and started my new pack today. Has anyone else gone through this ??

browneyedgirl will become famous soon enough
If you got your period since you had sex, you are fine. Also... if you are taking your birth control pills consistenly at about the same time every day, you should be protected even without pulling out. And if you aren't taking it consistently or something, pulling out won't prevent pregnancy, since there is sperm in precum. So, if you want a backup, use condoms or spermicides.

Brandye is a jewel in the rough
Most women on hormonal birth control, including the pill, do not use any other protection - such as having him pull out. !00 sexually active women on the pill will experience 3 pregnancies in a year.

If you were already established on Alesse, there was no need to take the extra pills and a very low likelihood of pregnancy. Your mistake was doubling up when you need not have. Now get yourself regulated on the normal cycle with pills and use condoms until you do.

Read the sticky on this forum "Caution: Take only as directed." And then do that.

:)

Thank you for your comments. I was pretty sure there would be a lower chance. When I had what I am pretty sure was my period I was not on the pills. The bleeding stopped the day before I am supposed to take my next pack. It felt like a normal period with cramps and all. So far no bleeding. I may take a HPT just to make sure or may wait till this 21 pack is through and see if I get my normal period.
