Lost my Birth Control package!!! Help please asap!

Okay i take ortho tricylcen. I dont think this is a big deal but can you help anyways. I have two hormone pills left in the package and then a week of placebo. I lost my package today through all of the cleaning were doing in the house. Anyways so would it be okay to just not take any pills for seven days, then start up a new package? My period would start a few days earlier, will I still be protected? If this isnt going to work I could search the house again hoping to find it...Any suggestions?

Atart over on what you would expect to be the first day after your period and use alternative protection for a complete cycle. Modern, low level hormonal birth control has very little margin for error and you could ovulate immediately.
