as long as you always remember to take it - and to do so at the same time each and every day then it should be enough. personally however, i prefer being doubley safe until i'm married so i'm on d pill and we still use condoms. but yes d pill is an effective birth control when used well

The Pill, when used correctly, is over 99% effective. So, most couples who use the Pill (as long as they are not worried about STDs) only use the Pill. Besides which, honestly if you are concerned pulling out is not good backup as precum is enough to get you pregnant.

However, it is possible to get pregnant when on the Pill. It is possible to get pregnant when on the Pill AND using condoms too. Granted, the chances of this are very small, but it does happen.

If you are really concerned, you should be using multiple reliable forms of birth control. For example, the Pill and condoms. Or, the Pill + diaphram + spermicides. You can never have too much protection. And remember to take the Pill on time every day!

thanks guys much appreciated. decided it was all too risky and i wouldn't enjoy the experience if pregnancy was on my mind the whole time.
