What are the chances?
Alright so here's my situation..
My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 2 months. we started having sex pretty early in our relationship, and for the first two weeks I wasn't on the pill. (I have been before, I just wasn't because i wasn't having sex.) we used condoms while I wasn't on the pill, and we've still been using condoms up until last night (sunday) went I went to the clinic to get back on the pill, the doctor said it takes about a month for the hormones to regulate so its fully effective, and we should be using condoms for the first month. I'd been planning to keep using condoms until the end of this month, but well. last night we got a little drunk (me more so than him) and didn't use a condom. (he didn't take advantage of the situation to not use one, he kept asking me if I wanted him to use one, but it just felt that much better without it.) now we'd already done it twice that night, so when he came he didn't ejactulate a lot. Now my question is...should I be worried? I've been really good about taking the pill within a half hour of each day (usually between 4-4:15) but is there a chance i could get pregnant? Should I go get the morning after pill? (I know its not supposed to be used as a contreceptive, but this was an accident..) Can I rely on the pill to protect me? I don't have open parents that I can talk to, and my older sister left for Thailand on sunday morning, so I don't really have anyone I can talk to about this.. any advice for me? |

If you don't want a baby I suggest that you get the morning after pill! There is always a chance that you could end up pregnant when you don't take the correct steps to preventing it! It doesn't matter how much he ejaculates! It only takes one of those little suckers to do the trick! Who cares how great that one moment felt when it is 3 am and you are trying to calm a screaming baby!

How long had you been taking the pill?
Some packs say you are protected after 7 days, but most Docs recommend a full cycle. I would check w/ your Doc before taking the MA pill. Might throw your cycle off even more.

i was in a similar situation, and i ended up calling the pharmacy at a CVS and asking them if I should get the morning after pill, after my bf ejaculated in me, and he said that Yasmine (birth control) was "made" so that a guy could ejaculate, and you wouldnt have to worry about getting pregnant, is that the case?

Well most pills are made so the guy is able to ejaculate in you w/ no worries.
The question is, was she on her pill long enough for it to have become effective?

Unfortunately each variety of The Pill works not quite the same on every woman. There is no way for anyone to tell if she is protected or if she isn't.
Sweety, your can do 1. nothing and remain nervous until your period comes, 2. use a pregnancy test to find out, 3. morning after pills as in Plan B. What are you waiting for? Deal with the issue and next time be responsible! |
