Question about STD testing

I was just wondering what the process is when a male gets tested for STD's, like what exactly goes on during the test and stuff? I've heard some horror stories...

Depending on what you're being tested for, you'll do urine tests, blood tests, or be swabbed.

Let me tell you, being swabbed with a urinary tract infection and an infected tip is the most painful thing you'll ever experience. (aside from child birth, sorry)
