Diaphragms

Hi i just recently got a diaphragm, because i had to stop taking the pill, anyway it really seems to hurt my partner. I have tried to put it in differently and everything. The doctor says that i am doing it right, does anyone know why this is happening?

No, other than from all the information I have been able to glean on the matter, neither of you should be able to feel it. That it is a soft flexible material makes me wonder what there is to be hurt by. If it is the ring, then perhaps just shifting position will help.
