Catching Chlamydia

If a guy has chlamydia, gets it cured through Azithromycin, and his girlfriend still has it but is on day 3.5 (when it's recommended 7 days for the Azithromycin to work) and the guy has sex 1 time with her, what are the chances of the chlamydia already being destroyed on the 3.5th day for the girl, and what're the chances of the guy re-catching the chlamydia from her again?

Also, seeing Azithromycin is an antibiotic and antibiotics affect the birth control pill, if one dose of Azithromycin is taken on the 1st day, how many days would the birth control pill be ineffective for after taking Azithromycin??

I doubt anyone could tell you the % of chances that you were re-infected.

But geesh, can't you wait out the entire week??
If you have an STD you shouldn't have any type of sexual contact until you are sure the infection is gone, and you have completed your treatmant.

Now you will probably have to start another round of antibiotics, and make sure she completes her, or you'll both just be giving it back and forth.

Yea antibiotics cancel out BC but I am not sure for how long. I have taken antiobiotics while I am on the pill and it just screws up my cycle all together. Like a few days after I start the antibiotics, I will start spotting and have slight spotting for like a week or so... till finally I get my "real" period.. then ready to start a new pack.
I would definetly treat it as if she wasn't on any type of BC and use condoms, etc, during that time.
But I imagine it is probably too late for that scenerio. If you had used condoms, then you wouldn't be worried if she was pregnant, and worried if you re-infected yourself.

what are the chances ... and what're the chances ...
If you're talking about something that hasn't happened yet: As the other poster said, come on, you can't wait seven days? Don't get all into calculating the odds, and just follow the safe advice.
If you're talking about something that has happened, the chances are either 0% or 100% at this point, but you don't know which. Get tested again.

A question you might want to ask when you go in to get tested again.
