demonbuttercup is a jewel in the rough
The insert on the package says they are effective after a week, but most DRs including mine says to take one full cycle (pill pack) and during that time use a back up method.

If she would have gotten her pills the proper way.. she would have known that. Who ever her friend is is dumb just giving packs of pills to random people. I mean where do they get all these extra packs to "give" away. Is this the new trend? Is someone selling BC pills over in the playground next to the hippie selling dime bags? LOL
For me they are expensive and I wouldnt just give them to people. Plus, they ARE prescription medications... its not safe or smart to give out to people unless you are a DR.

Now the waiting game begins

Anyone taking the pill should frist have a physical exam from a certified ob/gyn. As demonbuttercup ponts out, they ARE prescription medications. You're not supposed to share. Tell your friends that. If they see a dr., they will know what they need to know about the pill.

For now, demonbuttercup is also right in explaining that most drs. say after one full cycle the pill is effective.
