planned parenthood for BC--question

have any of you ever gone to planned parenthood for a BC prescription? i was wondering if you are able to go there and just walk in and get prescribed without having to have an exam and everything. reason i ask, i live away from home and will be visiting home soon for a gyno exam (that is already set up for me but is still some time away) but i want to get on BC NOW....i need to. can i just go there for BC only? i e-mailed planned parenthood but they have not e-mailed me back.

Not sure. I know when I went to the clinic at my school. the CNP gave me a script for like 3 months worth... and after that I went in for my exam and at that time she asked me how I was doing on those pills and then gave me yr's script.
why the urgency?

Varies from nation to nation and from center to center. Walk in and ask. Keep using whatever contraceptio you are on until you get on the pill for a cycle.

thanks guys. i have decided to just go there on friday morning. the clinic said i dont have to make an appointment, i can just walk in. i just started my period today so it would be perfect to get some BC now so that i can start on this sunday. it just that, i have been sleeping with my bf for a WHILE now, just using condoms, and i think i would just feel sooooo much better if i was even more protected from pregnancy.... esp since we have had the occasional mishap. we've had the condom brake, once it came off inside me, and sometimes he wants to do it without (using the pull-out method).... and i'm just not comfortable with that without being on BC. i'm actually really excited about not having to even wear a condom anymore once i've been on BC for a while. we're both STD free and are only sleeping with eachother.
