starting late while on the pill?

i have been taking the pill for a few months now. i'm on the sunday start schedule, so when my pills run out, and the placebo row starts, shouldn't i technically start my period then on the first sunday of the placebo? every month i have been on it, i have actually started on wednesday. as long as it's still predictable, i'm not that worried about it. but what does worry me is if i'm protected from pregnancy from sunday to wednesday, while i'm not on my period, or pills?

I am the same way, I too will start the placebos on sunday and my period usually starts tuesday or wed... and will last till sat or sun.
Its not going to automatically start like clock work. the hormones gradually diminish in your system and then your period starts.
and yes you are protected the whole month. the pill itself isn't the protection, its what it does to your hormones and cycle that protects you.
Meaning you dont take the pill as needed the day you have sex.... how it regulates your cycle and suppressing ovulation is what keeps you from getting pregnant.

i'm the same way, i usually start on wednesday and end on saturday. i've only been on it since january, but i'm guessing it works no matter what because i have not yet been pregnant.
