First time Pap smear...

It's not painful. However, I've always found the position you have to be in to be uncomfortable/awkward. The doctor uses a lubricant that always makes me feel messy afterward. Keep your eyes on the ceiling and think of something else.

the position is the worst part of it. it's very uncomfortable to be spread eagle on a table in front on a complete stranger while they stick things inside of you. however, if you have a good doctor that talks you through it, it can take away a lot of that discomfort. aside from a bit of pressure, it's not physically that bad. if your pap shows abnormalities and they do a biopsy...that's a whole different story.

well...it's not exactly a bed they put ya on. it's a little padded tablish thing with the leg stirrups so your spread open nice and wide down there. pretty damn close to being spread eagle. lol.

For me it hurt really bad for some reason, I'm pretty sure it's because I had JUST got off of my period the day before and was still having cramps, other than that it was fine.
