Don't know what to do...

I have been with my boyfriend off and on since September and we started having sex in the beginning of Feb. Last week, we were having sex and I started bleeding, I knew it was around the time period for me to get my period so I figured my body was just more sensitive. Last weekend is when I actually got my period and it stopped but I am still getting the after effects of the period, like the discolored discharge. I get that until we have sex again and then I start to bleed again, it is not a whole lot, but enough to be an annoyance. Then I get the discharge again. I currently have a Mirena IUD in which I have had in for over a year. I don't know what to do, it seems to bother him when it happens, but I don't want to not have sex because of something so petty. Please help...
