what is it?????

Just above the penis I have a red, swallon bump of some sort. It is not touching the penis, it is right directly above it. It almost looks like a real real enlarged pimple. I can definitly feel it and it kind of feels like one of those real bad pimples of some sort you get. It has been there for probably three to four days now and seems to be getting bigger. Anyone know what this coudl be???? The only thing I can think of is I started to take creatine for weight lifting last week. Could this effect it?

It might be an in-grown hair. When I was shaving down there I got them all the time. My girlfriend gets them too. Hell, everyone who shaves that I know gets them. I guess if it's bigger than what you would think an ingrown hair is, I'd go to the doctor.

It could also be an infection of the hair root, AKA a boil. Hot baths and tea bags I find are a good remedy to draw out the infection. I would think it would be wise however to also consult a physician incase of it being something a little more serious.

If you have not been sexually active, it is almost certainly an ingrown hair.

I think you guys nailed it. I looked up all the symptoms on the web and it definitly matches what you guys have said. It is now starting to go away after "treatment"! I dont know what I would do with out this fourm! Thanks agian

It sounds like you'd walk around with an ingrown hair bothering you constantly until it took care of itself. Unpleasant.
